Description

Board with the same lengths and dimensions as the Gandor, but with a harder flex designed for the most demanding riders and mountains.

The new Backcountry splitboard features a number of improvements over its predecessor. The new Backcountry is 10% lighter than its predecessor, thanks to the paulownia wood used in the construction of its core, which together with the poplar and bamboo gives it the same flex and torsional behaviour as its predecessor but 10% lighter.

It has also been added two holes in the tip to place the seals, avoiding using the classic buckles, which will allow us to mount the board in downhill mode without having to remove the sealskins, with this we will avoid that because of an oversight the board falls downhill, so once mounted the splitboard we will remove the sealskins to begin our descent.

Like its companion Gandor, the Backcountry is a traditional camber board being very versatile, both uphill with an exceptional grip both with the sealskins facing a slope, and with the edge doing a diagonal to have a larger surface of board in contact with the ground.

This is a very versatile board that makes us enjoy both difficult days, being a very reactive and sboard board, and deep snow days thanks to its shape and tip height, a very fast sintered black base that gives us extra speed, and its setback in the rider’s position (setback) that will undoubtedly help us to float in deep snow.
